Assistant Manager
Start date /approx. Mid-April or early May to end of August or mid Sept, (Flexible)
April-May: hrs. 25-35 hrs. per week, June-Aug: 32-40 hrs. per week
Hourly Rate: $18-$24 depending on experience
Part-time
- Start time is flexible can be May 1st thru mid-June thru August
- Hourly Rate: min wage up to $22 depending on experience
- Physically fit and able to lift 45 pounds (paddle boards etc.)
- Sound leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Exude enthusiasm, patience, self-control, and a sense of humor is a must!
- Ability to adapt to changes in daily plans quickly
- Have retail/sales/management experience (for management position)
- Fabulous people skills
- Love Dogs, the locals come by for treats daily
- Knowledge of the Naramata, Penticton, and area
- Valid Driver’s License
- (Part-time doesn’t necessarily need Driver’s License)
Duties:
- Sales of sportswear, paddleboards & accessories
- Receiving, pricing, and displaying inventory
- Checking all equipment prior to departure and fitting clients with proper gear
- Sending out paddleboard, kayak rentals
- Following through will all safety procedures
- Checking in clients with launch and returns and asking how their experience was
- Open and close (putting out and away all boards, paddles, and kayaks etc)
- Keeping shop area inside and out neat and tidy
- Handing out dog treats
- Deliver SUP rentals with our delivery car
Preferences will be given to those applicants who have the following:
• SUP Canada Sup Instructor Level 1 or higher.
• Have experience working in retail, sales, or tourism
• Good water sports experience sup, kayak, surfski, kite, surf etc.
(performance bonus at season end)
(very flexible with students going back in fall)
